STORY / GAMEPLAY
Worthy is an arcade action-puzzle game in which you play the role of a fearless young man in search of recovering the treasures of a beautiful girl, Princess Ruby. Playing through 40 stunningly looking, action packed, levels of the game you have to roam into the dark dungeons of an evil sorcerer named Malek, collect diamonds and other goodies, avoid pitfalls and enemies, solve puzzles and tackle the bad guy in an epic, final battle! Unfortunately Malek's dungeons are swarmed by his slimy minions, some nasty blobs that can be fatal upon touching and they will pursue or attack on sight!
Worthy includes several bonuses, weapons and power-ups to collect during your quest. To end each level you need a set amount of diamonds to reach rubies. The beautiful princess will be satisfied if you collect a specific number of them, per level.
After a "game over", you may retry current level as many times as you wish, without the need to manually select the level from the main menu. Worthy is among the top most anticipated indie Amiga games and is available in either ISO, ADF or HDD file and plays in every Amiga system with at least 512kb of chip and 512kb of extra RAM. We can't tell whether Worthy is a belated classic for the system but it surely is pleasing to see the Amiga supported so long after Commodore stopped manufacturing it.
GRAPHICS / SOUND
Worthy is very impressive, it has colorful sprites and this chunky style that immediately brings back in mind the long gone era of 16bit gaming. The game offers superb 32-colors pixel art, smooth sprite animation and a variety of maze designs. The music is lovely the least and the game's sound package is completed with a variety of high-quality punchy and vibrant sound effects.
